The San Diego Zoo is one of the finest in the US. You better plan on spending a whole day here and bring some good walking shoes.

Barstow California
Barstow is about the ½ way point between the west coast and Las Vegas. This is what we used as a stopover point. As you can see, it is in the middle of the desert. There isn’t too much out here.

Las Vegas Nevada
Las Vegas Motor Speedway is where we spent a weekend at the Nascar race. They have a number of tracks there for a variety of races. It is also just a few miles down Las Vegas Boulevard and the Strip.

Yermo California
Peggy Sue’s 50s Diner is a 50s style diner. There was a lot of 50 memorabilia on the walls. There is a gift shop there also where you can pick up some 50s gifts. There are several but this one was located in Yermo California near Barstow, ½ way between the coast and Las Vegas.
