Here lies our post card collection. I hope you enjoy looking at them. Think of it as if we are sending you a post card from the many locations we have visited.
This fort is located right at the end of the Niagara river where it empties into Lake Ontario. The different buildings of the fort were erected between 1726 and 1872. This fort was held by the French, British and the Americans. It was also used during the 2 world wars for training and was finally turned over to the US Coast Guard in 1963.

This by far has to be the best part of our trip so far. I heard a lot of people say Niagara Falls was awesome to see but I have seen the water falls at Yosemite at there best and thought nothing could top that. I will never forget this place. We started by visiting all the vantage points and looking at the falls from every angle but the topping on the cake was the Maid of the Mist boat ride. This takes you right into the horseshoe of Horseshoe Falls to get the best view of all. This is just one of those things that can not be described!

Hershey, where the town smells like chocolate (really). Note the street lights. They are Hershey kisses. The Hershey factory is located on the corner of Chocolate Ave and Cocoa.

Washington DC is the home of the Smithsonian Institution. This is not just one building. It is several buildings with multiple floors located between the Capitol Building and the Washington Memorial. We spent the better part of a day just inside one of the buildings. It would take forever to see all that they have to offer.

Mount Vernon is the home of George Washington. This is where he entertained, worked and eventually died. He is also buried here.

There is so much to do and see in Washington DC. We were told to allow a week but found that isn't even enough time.

Colonial Williamsburg is a portion of Williamsburg Virginia that has been restored to it's original state in the 18th century. Everyone is even dressed in the attire of that era. It's like stepping back in time.

Virginia Beach is another tourist spot however it is a large area and is full of country roads and corn and wheat farms. Beautiful surroundings.

Diggers Dungeon is home of the Monster Truck Grave Digger. This is located on the outer banks area called Kill Devil Hills.

The Light houses of the Outer Banks. We visited the Cape Hatteras Light House which is the tallest light house and was actually moved back off the beach on 1999. This move took 23 days to accomplish.

The Outer Banks of North Carolina is a string of barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina. At points it is only about 1/4 mile wide.
