Myrtle beach calls then selves The RV Capitol of the USA. This could be pretty close to the truth. We passes many RV storage lots that were block long with hundreds of RVs. These were just the ones in storage. The parks are giant. Most of them with over 1000 sites and they are top of the line. The only problem is during the summer they all go to over $50 a night. I really don�t understand it though. There is not much to do around here except for the miles of beautifully beaches. In town there are every kind of restaurant you can imagine. Also there must be a miniature golf course on every corner.

The Tybee Lighthouse was built to guide ships to the Savannah River. It also played a part in the Civil War.

Savannah is full of history. This post card shows some of the many churches in the area. There are also lots of beautiful homes and oak covered roads.

We had a great time in Jacksonville visiting family. We didnt do much else since I messed up my back and had to give it a while to rest.

St Augustine has a lot to see for a it's size. In the post card is the oldest house, the oldest school house, The Flagler College (which used to be a hotel), and The gates of the city. The city used to be surrounded by a wall for protection from attack and the only way in and out was these gates. The walls are gone but the gate remands. The one thing that Susan and I found very interesting was the Castille De San Marcus. This is a big fort that was built in the 1600s with walls 18 feet thick and 30 feet high complete with a moat and draw bridge. It is so big that when under attack the entire population of St Augustine would fit inside it's walls.

We had a 5 day pass for Universal Orlando. The first day we spent at Universal Studios and the second we split between Islands of Adventure and back at Universal Studios. We found Universal Studios was a better fit for us. Islands of Adventure is mostly roller coasters which Susan is not fond of. We were going to go back on Saturday night for the Mardi Gras celebration but did not want to deal with the crowds.
