Biloxi Mississippi

Biloxi is not at all what we expected. It is lined on one side with stately plantation style homes on one side of the street and miles of white sandy beach on the other. Toward the end is like a mini Las Vegas with a row of brightly lit casinos.

New Orleans Louisiana

Although this card shows New Orleans as being packed with people, this is not how we found it. It was fairly quiet the day we visited. The weather here has been a mix of sunny and thunder storms. For the most part it has been real nice.

Nice sunset right? Wrong. Since Galveston is on the east side of Texas this picture is actually a sunrise. Although I would like to, I didn’t get up early enough to see one.

I met a gentleman while in Columbus Texas and mentioned to him we were heading for Galveston. He said Don’t expect much. Well, we had a really good time here. I didn’t realize Galveston was an Island.

San Antonio Texas

San Antonio Texas is the home of The Alamo. There are also a number of historic sites and museums. Also here is what is known as The Riverwalk. This is a 2.5 mile pathway along a portion of the San Antonio River that is lined with shops and restaurants.
